I can't believe it's already April! I suck at updating this blog. Most of you that just email me know that. lol
Not a whole lot to update. Abby is doing very well. Report card is fantastic, minus behavior. Phillip, Abby, and I took turns getting sick end of March. We're all doing good now. I finally bought Abby a new bed, it should arrive next week. SO cute! I will post pics below. She still wanders into our bed at around 4 a.m. every other day, but that's still excellent for her. lol Abby is 1st grade reading level! I mean she is an absolute EXCELLENT reader. It's quite impressive. I have a video of her reading I just need to upload it. I started reading to her when I was around 4 months pregnant. I read everyday until she was born and I continued after, and I still read to her now.
Mine and Phillip's anniversary is coming up in May. We were rearing to go to Las Vegas, but the weekend we wanted happens to be when my good friend Amy graduates from college with a big fat degree. lol SO, we are going with Amy and her husband to a Rangers game instead. All other weekends are jammed with softball tournaments. Phillip's brother is also coming to visit that week.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!
I swear this week has been loooooooong. I am so ready to be out of here!
Phillip and I have date night tonight. Neither of us can decide what we want to do, if we want to go solo, or with other couples. LOL We have another date night next week only that one is UBER special. My good friend of several years is the founder of http://www.ThePinShow.com (fashion show). It is quite the big deal. Phillip and I get VIP seating AND I have agreed to wear one of her dresses from her line. :) She owns a DIY studio in the Bishop's Art district in Oak Cliff http://www.themakesite.com and her clothing line is http://www.2enju.com she is also founder of http://www.urbanstreetbazaar.com . She is the hardest worker I know and not surprising she has come so far. So it will be fun to dress fancy and rub shoulders with some of Dallas' elite. lol
Phillip and I finally entered this century and got AT&T fiberoptic cable with all the HD channels, and the majority of the movie channels. We also FINALLY got a DVR! lol Haven't used it yet, but hey it's there. :)
Abby didn't make it into gifted and talented, you have to score 112, she scored 100. The teacher said she was having a hard time focusing......I'm not even going to comment on that. Aaaaaanyway, I've heard G&T can be a pain in the ass anyway, so it matters not to me.
Phillip's dad did come to town, promptly took my car, and went to Killeen. lmao I'm driving a rental until he returns, a Ford fusion...don't be jealous. lol ;)
My best friend Jenny is now 32 weeks preggo....and still stuck in Japan. :*( Hopefully she will be here by Summer, I miss her terribly! I can't wait to meet her hubby and the baby!
I know nothing exciting, figured I'd blog it anyway. Later!

Bla Bla
So I'd love to post some pics of the friggin floor, but for some reason today all my electronics want to work like cow ass!! I managed to upload 2 to facebook, then fuckin Sprint decides to not give me coverage... as usual. I went to upload pics from my camera of Mardi Gras and the floor, it tells me "can't copy". WTF!? I digress....
LOVIN the tile!! It's looks fantastic! We put travertine tile in the kitchen and pantry, laundry room, and both bathrooms. We did a lighter color for the kitchen and used "enhancement sealer" which brings out the darker colors of the tile so it's not too light. We did a darker color for the bathrooms and laundry room. I could see putting tile in the living room and dining room verses hardwood, but I'm going to hold that thought. Home improvement projects are quite a pain in the ass Phillip and I have found. LOL It's so worth it though.
Friday I'm taking the day off to meet the carpet cleaners at the house, then Abby's Valentine's day party at school, I'm the coordinator/helper. Phillip's dad will be arriving from Korea on Sunday. We heard through the grapevine he'll be staying in the states for a month, not sure if it will be with us or not. Out of all of Phillip's family his dad is the one who is respectful and polite to me. I think he's great, but a total flake like my dad. LOL
The update on Abby is.....she brought home a green today!! Yay! Her reward is sometimes sleeping with mommy and daddy, so I won't be sleeping much tonight. She made Phillip and I a candy mix at school, and she informed me she accidentally ate all the "titsy" rolls. :) She is having her usual asthma flare up this time of year, so we're doing the oh so fun breathing treatments every couple of hours.
I shall try to post pictures on a day when my electronic devices will cooperate.
Toodles!

Tile time
Phillip and I are going to pick up the tile today for the kitchen and the bathrooms. It's to be installed tomorrow!! Yay!! I'm very pleased. :) Then I'm going to go get the new bathroom stuff, I've already picked exactly what I want.
2 more days until a 3 day weekend with some drinking and some bead catching! Work has been sloooow. So I have time to blog boring updates. ;) I will post pics later.
Ciao

Fixing up the house
Phillip and I have started to fix up the house. We have picked out the wood floor and tile that we want. We got an estimate from one place, but our neighbor that lives a few doors down has his own business installing wood floors. Most likely he will have a much cheaper price as he does the work himself. We already got a new back door with a storm door, and a new 9" deep kitchen sink...which I LOVE! Next item is new front door and storm door, and obviously the floors. We would like new furniture, but we're waiting until the floor is installed before we purchase any more decor or furnishings. I have wanted wood floor since we moved into the house, but now that I've heard the estimate of how much we have to fork over, I'm starting to think I can live with shampooing the carpet for awhile, and just do the tile in the kitchen and the bathrooms. We'll see. We've been entertaining more, so wood floors would be much easier as far as clean up.
The annual Mardi Gras trip to Shreveport is coming up. Phillip has only been with me once, and it was before Abby was born. He's coming this year and we're both looking forward to a few days off to relax and have a good time.
That's all the update I have for now. :)

Long time...no post
I'm not going to blog about the past several months, because those who need to know, know...and those who don't, don't. I will say, I have learned alot about myself and others this past several months. Some of it has been enlightening, some of it has been very disappointing and heart wrenching. As usual, I take what I need from my experiences, and leave the rest. I'm genuinely happy at this time in my life, and I'm not sure I've ever said that...or been in a position to say that. I'm hopeful and looking forward to the future whatever it may hold. That's that.
Abby was recommended by her teacher for the gifted and talented program. She's already taken one part of the 2 part test. She is a smart cookie, and an extreme handful. lol She comes home with a yellow EVERYDAY. I no longer even ask her to try to bring home a green. lol It's the same note everyday next to the color- ( Talking during class, not sitting in her seat). SHOCKING! lmao She's bored people. It never ceases to amaze teachers the children who never listen and pay attention, how they still manage to ace their tests. Some people actually don't need to hear the same thing over, and over, and over. They got it. ;) I'm excited, and also a smidge dreadful of the coming years. It's fine and dandy now, but it will become increasingly more difficult for Abby as she gets older. What teachers now find cute, they will soon find aggravating. I will soon find myself in parent teacher conferences listening to them tell me my child "has a problem". Until then and even then, I have one amazing child. It's hard to believe that she once fit in just one of my arms.
Toodles.
