It's Friday again...

YAY! I love me some Friday!

I'd love to recap the whole week, but I was not blessed with that skill. I can't sit down and list out what's happening next week, nor can I tell you what happened this past week on the exact days, I just blabber. Sometimes it's stuff that's happened over 3 weeks all rolled into one post. Nothing exciting happened though. Same ole.

It turns out Little Elm now has a Youth Soccer Association. So whereas before I was going to register Abby for The Colony to start in August, I will now have to register her in Little Elm to start in September. I'm not excited about either location. Whilst I love our house, and I think we picked a great location -(we are literally on the line of Frisco and Little Elm), we didn't buy on the Frisco side of the street. A little frustrating, and even more, something our freekin realtor should have informed us of...things you learn being a first time buyer. Anyway, if you go further west from our subdivision about 20 minutes, the area changes scenary, and the people to go with it. The same is true of The Colony. Unless you own one of the newer homes closer to 121 where it doesn't smell like sewage, then you're rubbing shoulders with the less than appealing. I know how stuck up that must sound, but it is what it is.

Buying a condo/loft sounds very appealing to Phillip and I, so we will see once the tollway is finished what we're going to do. I'll know more once Abby has been in school for a little while as to whether I still feel we are in the area we need to be in. Little Elm schools are ranked well, my biggest concern is education. I would prefer to not have to pay for private school if she can get what she needs socially and academically from public school.

On another note, I went on a rampage in Abby's room yesterday. I cleaned out ALOT of clothes and toys for donation. Some of the stuff hadn't even been worn. I'm lazy and detest the thought of making the effort to sell stuff. I've always given it away to people we know, or I donate. The opportunity to sell it has been presented by use of someone else's garage sale. lol I think I will make an attempt at going through the stuff and see what can be sold. I don't particularly want to go sit outside and sell stuff I paid $50.00 for, for $20.00 but, I guess it's better than nothing.

I got Abby's Kindergarten "supply list". Lord. When I went to school you showed up with a crayola box, a box of crayola's, glue, and scissors, oh and a backpack to put it in. Not anymore. This list has at least 20 items, and it's not just one of that item, but 2. I've been informed that the second set of that item is requested to supply the underpriveleged children with. WTF kind of shit is that? So I get to provide people who don't work... with an income, supply their health insurance, and now, pay for their children's school supplies. I think the government (particularly Obama Bin Laden) has gotten confused as to the meaning of "free country".

That's about all I have to say today.
