Well, it's what 2 months after my last post? I think that's getting better than it was. Maybe not.
The red rocket (a.k.a. Phillip's pos sunfire) finally took a shit this past Saturday. He went today to buy a cheap newer car. He went with a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, fully loaded. We love Hyundai, so it makes sense to continue buying from them. My Sante Fe is our second purchase from them and I have absolutely no complaints. The downside is we have another car payment, which we were trying to avoid for awhile. We have too much money going out right now as far as hospital bills for my surgery, and the money we're spending on the house. So,cash car wasn't really an option. Upside, shouldn't take long to pay off.
Phillip and I ended up going with a different bed for Abby than the one I posted a pic of. We bought that one, and it was broken upon delivery. No sense in re-ordering it because chances were it was going to happen again. So we went with Ikea. Still a loft bed only without drawers and a built in desk like the previous one, and we added a tent over the top. So it's nothing like that one.;) It still provides excellent storage which was the point of the original bed anyway. I put all of her babies and accessories underneath. We also bought 2 of the storage cube systems to organize the rest.VOILA! She loves her room! Everything is nice and orderly as I like it to be as well. I will post pics once I upload them which is always a task for me.
Abby completed her first week of Summer camp last week. She LOVES it!! She gets spoiled absolutely rotten! The teacher is Filipino and is in love with Abby. She doesn't have too many children her age in there, so the older kids cater to her all day. She gets to swim 3 days a week, and the other 2 days they go on field trips. And when I say field trips, I'm not talking about your cheezy run of the mill field trips. Last week they went bowling one day, and "meet the Ruff Riders" another day. This week they go skating (which we know she loves) and Hawaiian Falls. In other words, mommy doesn't get hounded to go, go, go on the weekend too badly. LOL I found the place on AroundTownKids-Frisco. LOVE that site!
Phillip and I had the idea we would host a "drunk roller skating party" for our birthdays in August.....then I checked the prices. Ummm....no. For an "alcohol" party (alcohol not even provided) it was $600 for 2 hours!! WOW. I can get drunk anywhere and fall for practically free, spank you very much! So there went that idea. I thought about doing something themed at the house, but we all know I suck at anything crafty, or anything in the vicinity of "planning". So as of now, I have no idea what we're going to do. I kind of wanted to go to Speed Zone, but that's a little far out, and with everyone getting trashed we should probably do something somewhere located in the middle of everyone going. There is going to be alcohol, so it really doesn't even matter where we start or end as far as I'm concerned. :)
And there you have it folks. I'll drop in a couples months from now with aimless rambling again.
